I got a promo code for a FREE RedBox rental today so I went over to my local MickyD's and rented the movie "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas." This movie had a lot of good reviews about it and I totally agree with them on that one! This movie made me tear up about because they included some emotional distress about what was going on. Unlike other Holocaust I seen in the past, this movie focused on the non-jews' perspective on horrible stuff that was going on. I also found the child perspective on the whole situation quite refeshing.
Imagine yourself in the shoes of Bruno, the 8 year old boy noticing strange things that doesn't seem quite right. A kid who is used to an innocent world is faced with questions that doesn't even make sense and goes against his own father. What would you do if it was you?The character I felt the most pain from was the mom who found out about her husband's horrible doing. In the movie you will see a how much that news affected her well-being.
